For nightstands with drawers we recommend a minumum drawer size of 12-13". This is so you can have a nice amount of space in which to store bits and pieces. Allow for 1-2" each side of the drawer and cupboard for the edge as seen above.

The plinth running along the front can either be solid or cut-out, as seen above.
